Darlou Gams, a native of southern Idaho, attended the Art Center College of
Design in Pasadena, California. After graduating with distinction, she
enjoyed success as a freelance artist and illustrator before fulfilling her
dream of becoming a full time fine artist.
With her illustration experience as a foundation, she uses the figure and
the landscape as a canvas to explore color, design, shape and texture. Influenced by
tonalists Inness and Eaton, Darlou adds a contemporary perspective, weaving
color and light to create a modern interpretation of the landscape.
